About The Bark Lab

Philosophy
My #1 rule is that this is a shame free zone! My dog training methodology is rooted in positive reinforcement and science-backed operant conditioning. I hold a master’s degree in biology and the KPA-CTP trainer credential, which shapes my evidence-based approach to behavior. I also have years of experience teaching and tutoring K-12 kids, and am currently completing my 200 hour yoga teacher training. This combination of experience shapes my deeply empathetic approach to both my human and canine clients.
It’s important to me to help you feel unashamed and not judged for whatever progress you do or don’t make. I want you to feel supported to make progress that can realistically be incorporated into your every day life, no matter how busy life gets.

We had a wonderful experience with Veronica as our dog trainer. She is calm, positive, and truly force-free, using positive reinforcement throughout her care. Our dog was comfortable and happy with her, and we even noticed improvements in basic manners like leash walking and not jumping on guests. It’s clear she understands dog behavior and handles dogs with patience and kindness. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate trainer.

Veronica did a great job training my dog! She put extensive effort into teaching him multiple tricks and stunts including jump on command, getting in and out of his bed, and tricks with props like the hula hoop. The clicker and positive reinforcement training is very humane and I could see noticeable improvement in his general behavior as we worked through Veronica's lessons.

Veronica was wonderful with my exceptionally reactive dog. My dog struggles with reactivity toward other dogs, and Veronica equipped me with practical tools to work toward our goals. She was calm, informative, and communicated clearly and confidently with both me and my dog. After just one session, I felt so much more confident about the next steps and how to help my dog respond more calmly to stressful stimuli. I highly recommend her.
